Mt. Olive Pickle will drop again

MOUNT OLIVE -- Mt. Olive Pickle Company will hold its 7th Annual New Year's Eve Pickle Drop on Dec. 31, at the stroke of 7 p.m.
The event is held at that time, organizers said, because 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time is midnight Greenwich Mean Time.
The pickle drop, held at the Corner of Cucumber & Vine in Mount Olive, is open to the public. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. Music and refreshments will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring canned goods for the Salvation Army's food bank.
