Katherine Roethling, a student at St. Mary Catholic School, has been accepted into the People to People World Leadership Forum.

She will join a select group of students in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 11-17, 2006, to earn high school credit while studying leadership and exploring some of the United State's most prominent monuments and institutions.

Students are selected on the basis of outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential.

Katherine is the daughter of Peter and Mary Battle Roethling.

Jessica Gale Amon graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Aug. 12. She received a bachelor of art's degree in psychology with a minor in religious studies. She is a member of Psi Chi, the psychology honor society, as well as Phi Kappa Phi, an academic honor society. She is the daughter of Kay and Joe Goulding and David and Linda Amon and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Amon, A.W. Goulding and the late Hilda Goulding.
