Deadline for entries in Mount Olive Christmas Parade November 28

MOUNT OLIVE -- The deadline for entries in the Mount Olive Christmas Parade is Monday, Nov. 28.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Dec. 3, with entries lining up beginning at 9 a.m. at the corner of Henderson Street and Breazeale Avenue.
Prizes include trophies for Best Fire Unit and Best Rescue Unit. Participation plaques wll be awarded to each band entry. Cash prizes will be awarded in the Best Homemade Float competition, including $100 for first place, $75 for second place and $50 for third place.
All performances will be staged near the PACC 10 Television cameras stationed at the Piggly Wiggly shopping area.
The parade route will begin at Mount Olive Centre, go along Breazeale Ave. to Pollock Street, left on Center Street and end at the Mount Olive Fire Department. Participants will be assisted in the lineup by members of the Mount Olive Jaycees Club.
The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the parade.
