Parade deadline Nov. 28

MOUNT OLIVE -- The deadline to sign up for the Mount Olive Christmas Parade is Nov. 28.
The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the parade and members report that 65 entries are signed up so far.
Names will be added to the lineup following receipt of the entry fee. Entry fees may be submitted to the chamber office at 123 N. Center St., and there will be a $10 late fee for entries received after Nov. 28.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Dec. 3, with lineup beginning at 9 a.m. at the corner of Henderson Street and Breazeale Avenue.
The parade route begins at Mount Olive Centre and goes along Breazeale Ave. to Pollock Street, left onto Center and ending at the Mount Olive Fire Department.
Mount Olive Jaycee Club members will help the participants in the lineup.
The Jaycees have also set up a red mail box on a green post at the Civic Center for those who wish to receive a free personalized letter from Santa. To have the letter sent to your home stop by the Civil Center mailbox and pick up a form to fill out and place in the mail box. Dec. 15 is the deadline for forms to be in the box.
