Seven Springs Christmas Parade Saturday

SEVEN SPRINGS -- The Seven Springs Christmas Parade will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Seven Springs Town Clerk Deanna Grady said she has registered more than 40 entries for the parade.
The Spring Creek High School Band will hold a pop concert after the parade in front of the Seven Springs Community Park on West Spring Street.
Spring Creek Band Director Matt Andrade said the concert will be a small sit-down concert for the community of Seven Springs.
"We will have 10 or 15 musical selections of different styles," he said. The group will also perform a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. on Dec. 13 in the high school gym.
The Seven Springs parade is the first Christmas parade of the Wayne holiday season.
The Duplin County community of Beautancus will hold its annual holiday parade at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
Goldsboro and Mount Olive will hold their Christmas parades on Dec. 3, with Mount Olive starting at 10 a.m. and Goldsboro starting at 4 p.m.
Eureka will hold a Christmas Parade beginning at 2 p.m. on Dec. 11.
