Drug charges
A man was arrested Saturday and charged with one misdemeanor drug offense. Joseph Franklin Chase, 52, of 843 Church of God Road, was arrested for possession of less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana.
A man was arrested for felony drug possession Saturday. Kevin Terrell Pigford, 22, of 207 Workman St., was in possession of .5 grams of crack cocaine at the time of arrest. Pigford was also charged with possession of a concealed weapon, a 9mm handgun. Bond was set at $2,000.
Firearm stolen
A firearm was stolen Friday from a home on Devonshine Drive, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.
Charles Lucas Franklin, 32, reported the theft of a .45-caliber handgun.
He also said a butane lighter, close to $100 and other property totaling $600 were taken.
The thief had broken through his front door to get inside.
