Church asks for donations of gift boxes

Adamsville Baptist Church on North Berkeley Boulevard will be accepting gift boxes for Operation Christmas Child all this week. The boxes, containing small toys, school supplies and personal hygiene items, will be shipped from the church to Samaritan's Purse, where they will be distributed around the world for the Christmas holidays.
Boxes can be dropped off at the church on Monday, Thursday and Friday from 3-7 p.m. On Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until noon, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday from 3-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. Boxes are welcome from any source: individuals, civic clubs, church groups or businesses.
