Wine-Sky to perform at Mayor's Committee annual luncheon

Ross Wine-Sky will entertain at the Goldsboro Mayor's Committee for Persons with Disabilities awards' luncheon.

The annual event will be held Friday, Oct. 21, at noon at the Goldsboro Country Club. Tickets will be $12 at the door. Advance tickets may be obtained by calling Bobby Shoemake at 751-1148, or e-mail, Bshoe10458@aol.com.

Wine-Sky is owner of Blind Luck Music Productions in Nashville, Tenn. An accomplished musician and record producer, his recording career began with the folk music movement in the 1960s and continues today with what he calls "Americana music." He has collaborated with or produced records for Chris Isaac, Pam Tillis, Pee Wee Ellis and Herbie Hancock.

Wine-Sky, who is blind, became an advocate for the disabled in the 1980s. For 14 years he served as executive director for a non-profit agency which provides services to the disabled and homeless in San Francisco.
