Woman robbed
A woman leaving her car to enter her home was robbed Monday of $15, her purse and car keys, a Wayne County Sheriff's Office report said.
Cynthia D. Barrett of Hare Road told deputies that a black man displayed a handgun at about 9:50 a.m., grabbed her purse and fled in a small gray car on Tommy's Road.
The robber was described as 6-feet tall with a slim build, and he wore a black bandanna, a black sweatshirt and an unknown color pants. A second person was believed to be in the car, the report said.
Man stabbed
A 23-year-old man from Goldsboro was stabbed Monday night as he was getting into his vehicle at a convenience store, Goldsboro police reported.
Tristian Lee Cobb told officers that the attack occurred at about 9 p.m. in the Lighthouse parking lot at 902 N. Herman St. Cobb said the suspect came up behind, said, "Remember me," and stabbed him. After the assault, the suspect jumped a fence and fled, the report said.
He described the assailant as a black man, about 18 to 25 years old, 5-feet-10 to 6-feet tall and 170 to 185 pounds. He work dark jeans.
Four-vehicle wreck
Two people were injured and damages were estimated at $24,000 in a four-vehicle collision Monday on Dr. M.L. King Jr. Expressway, the U.S. 70 bypass, near the West Grantham Street exit, a Goldsboro police report said.
One driver, Kelli Sean Cornwell, 38, of Morgan Trace Drive, and a passenger in another vehicle, William Batten, 52, of East Fremont Road, Kenly, were treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Cornwell, who was driving the second of the four westbound vehicles, was charged with failure to reduce speed after the rear-end collision at 3:15 p.m. The third and fourth drivers, Charles Keenan Hinnant, 58, of Bagley Road, Kenly, and Charles A. Stevens Jr., 50, of Fayetteville, were charged with following too closely.
Car, train collide
A northbound car collided with a westbound train Monday at Bryant Street and Royall Avenue, injuring the driver of the car, according to a Goldsboro police report.
Raejanese Crystal Chambers, 33, of Bryant Street was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released, a spokeswoman said.
Ms. Chambers was charged with a safe-movement violation. Her 1999 car, valued at $4,000, was demolished. The Norfolk Southern Railroad engine, operated by Michael Talbot, 38, of Garner, was not damaged.
In other accidents:
*Damages were estimated at $5,500 in a two-truck collision at 7:55 p.m. Monday at U.S. 70 East and N.C. 111 South, Goldsboro police said. Both drivers were charged with stoplight violations. The report said Aaron Neal Kornegay, 28, of U.S. 70 East, LaGrange, was going east on U.S. 70, and Roberto Aguilera, 33, of N.C. 111 South was going north on N.C. 111.
*Damages were set at $5,000 in a two-vehicle crash at 3:26 p.m. Monday at East Ash and North John streets, police said. One driver, Kevin Philip Berry, 50, of N.C. 581 South, was charged with a safe-movement violation after the rear-end crash.
*Both cars were demolished in a wreck at 7:13 p.m. Thursday at U.S. 117 and Airport Road, the Highway Patrol said. A southbound driver, Michael P. Cooper, 72, of South Hillcrest Drive, was charged with driving left of center.
Drug charges
Two men were arrested Monday by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and charged with felony drug offenses.
Cleveland Lavon Ward, 27, of Belfast Avenue was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping and selling marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under $20,000 bond.
Marijuana, with an estimated street value of $13,000, and three firearms, including an assault rifle, were seized.
Gregory Roosevelt Ingram, 22, of Parkton was arrested by deputies after a traffic stop on N.C. 55 East. He was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. He was jailed under $1,500 bond.
Old car stolen
A 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle and about $8,150 worth of other property was stolen from a barn on Elkin Drive, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's report. Van Arthur Anderson of Smithfield also reported the theft of a 454-cubic-inch engine, three tires and rims, a weight scale, a deep fat fryer, an air compressor, three stainless steel tables, a computer system, a vacuum and a wash pot. The disabled car was valued at $3,000.
Investigations
Wayne County law-enforcement officers are investigating these reports:
*About 30 music compact discs, 30 movie videos, a digital camera, food and personal papers were stolen Monday after a door glass was smashed at an apartment in the 100 block of Glenwood Trail, Goldsboro police said. Troy R. Harris estimated the value of the stolen property at $1,467.
*Two rings, a video camera and a digital camera were stolen between Thursday and Monday from a motor home in the 1300 block of Old Kenly Road. Brenda M. Johnson of Zebulon put a $5,000 value on the property.
*About $1,300, a bracelet, a ring and boots were stolen between Sunday and Monday from a home in the 500 block of Davis Street Extension near Fremont. Calvin Leon Vick, said the jewelry and boots were worth $680. Two firearms also were stolen.
Missing
A 14-year-old girl was reported missing Monday to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Shaneequa Agnita Alexander of 218 Devonshire Drive was described as black, 5-feet-1 and 125 pounds with a small build, black hair, brown eyes and a scar on the left side of her face. She was seen last at 11 p.m. Sunday. No clothing description was available. Anyone with information on her location is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 731-1481.
