Apprehended

Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office apprehended William Allen Jackson IV of O'Berry Road near Dudley after a report of a break-in at the home of Dean Blake Graham on the southern end of Flowers Road.

Blake said he startled a man when he came home around 10 a.m. Monday. He said he noticed a strange car backed into his yard and parked. He went to the front door and heard someone running through his house.

He said he heard the person go out the back door and then saw a white man run from behind the house and get into a light brown Chevrolet Lumina and drive away on Flowers Road toward the Duplin County line. He described the man as about 6 feet tall, weighing about 160 pounds with short hair.

The report said there was visible damage to the door and door frame from the door being kicked open. Blake reported $100 in cash missing from the house.

Law enforcement officers working the N.C. 55 East area responded to the dispatcher and stopped the suspect on the road. The team recovered the property reported stolen from Blake, as well as property missing from a residence near Suttontown in Sampson County.

Jackson was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and felony attempted larceny. Bond was set at $100,000.
