A group of volunteers from St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Dover, Delaware came to Goldsboro for a week recently to work on a Habitat House.
Goldsboro-Wayne Habitat President Bill Edgerton said this is the fourth year the group has come to the area on their mission trip to work with Habitat in Goldsboro.
The group, led by Gary Knight and Hazel Partridge found the foundation in place and finished the flooring system and most of the walls during the week they were here.
"Habitat depends on volunteers to build the houses," Edgerton said, "and it's great to have groups such as this to come down and work for a week. We also would like to have local groups join us for a day or more."
