MOUNT OLIVE -- A promotional compact disc of the North Carolina Pickle Festival is being distributed across the East Coast.
The CD was made by the Pickle Festival committee with a $2,500 grant fromthe Greater Goldsboro Travel and Tourism office.
More than 300 copies are being sent to public tourism offices and welcome centers and tourist attractions run by private companies.
Filming of the CD started in March and took three months.
Gena Knode, co-chairman of the committee, wrote the script for the production, which was produced by Dayspring Media of Wilson.
Mrs. Knode said the four-minute long CD features live footage of the 20th annual festival held in the spring, along with still photos from across Wayne County. She and Patti O'Donoghue, the president of the Mount Olive Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the festival, designed the artwork for the cover.
