Snow Hill holding Independence Day parade on July 2

The Snow Hill Parade Committee will sponsor the town's annual Independence Day parade at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, with lineup at 10:15 a.m. beside the Horton-Crutchfield office in downtown Snow Hill.

Prizes will go to the most patriotic bike, the George Washington Award; the most patriotic pet, the Paul Revere Award; the most patriotic non-bike vehicle, the Thomas Jefferson Award; the silliest patriotic entry, the Betsy Ross Award; and the cutest entry, the Star Spangled Banner Award.

A community picnic will follow the parade for participants.
