Memorial Day ceremony
The Wayne County Veterans and Patriots Coalition will hold a Memorial Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Monday May 30 at the Wayne Community College Auditorium. The guest speaker will be Col. Leonard T. Coleman, 4th Mission Support Group Commander from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
On Saturday, May 28, members of the Veterans and Patriots Coalition and volunteers will be placing flags on veterans' graves at area cemeteries. Volunteers are asked to meet at the American Legion Post 11 building on Hwy 117 South at 9.a.m. Saturday morning for a ham breakfast. Flags will then be distributed for placement on graves.
