Broken Places schedules second Imani Week

Rebuilding Broken Places Community Development Corporation has released final plans for the Second Annual Imani Week.
On Saturday at 8 a.m., there will be a Faith Walk open to all citizens, beginning at the Northend Community Park and ending at Greenleaf Christian Church.
At 10 a.m., "The State of Morals and Politics Symposium" will be held at Greenleaf Christian Church.
Final symposium participants are the Rev. Nelson Johnson, Attorney Ronald Penny, Attorney Sue Perry-Cole, Minister Christopher Furr, the Rev. Dr. Carrie Bolton, Ms. Andrea Harris, Mr. Randy Johnston, Dr. Jarvis Hall, Ms. Roslyn Fuse-Hall, the Rev. Dr. Seth Lartey, Attorney Alan McSurely, the Rev. Dr. Freddie Barnes, the Rev. Rodney Williams, the Rev. Fred Clark, the Rev. John Foulkes, and the Rev. Eugene Fisher.
From 10:30 until 11:30 a.m., Dr. Naomi Tutu, daughter of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, will sign copies of her book, "The Words of Desmond Tutu," at the Christian Supply Store at 2810 Cashwell Drive.
At 6 p.m., 30 churches and community organizations will be inducted into the Wall of Firsts during a banquet at the Greenleaf Vision of Faith Community Center at 2105 N. William St.
Superior Court Judge Milton "Toby" Fitch will be recognized at the banquet with a political service award. Ashelyn James, a senior at Goldsboro High School will received an award for academic excellence and former City Councilman J.B. Rhodes will received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine.
