Sprunt to offer nursing assistant classes

KENANSVILLE -- James Sprunt Community College will offer a Nursing Assistant II class beginning May 9 at 6 p.m. in Room 156 of the McGowen Building.
The class will meet each Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m. the class will be limited to 20 students. Students must bring the following items to the first night of class:
*High school diploma, GED certificate or letter documenting graduation.
*Social Security card.
*Photo identification.
*Proof of current listing on the Nursing Aid Registry.
*Class fees or letter authorizing the billing of fees.
Students must pre-register by calling the Continuing Education Department at 910-296-2460. Upon successful completion of this class, students will be able to work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse assistant with procedures like oxygen, would care, trach care, IV fluids, catherizations and feeding tubes.
