United Way accepting grant applications

United Way of Wayne County is taking applications for its New Program and Community Building Grants.
Applicants must be tax exempt under IRS Code 501 (c)(3); incorporated in the state of North Carolina as a nonprofit; render charitable, philanthropic, health character building or social welfare services in Wayne County; and be able to demonstrate program effectiveness through the measurement of program outcomes.
Applications are available weekdays starting Monday through April 15 at the United Way office at 308 N. William St. They are also available on the organization's website at www.unitedwaywaynecountync.org.
The deadline for returning applications is April 29 at noon.
