Burglary
A Goldsboro woman returned home Sunday morning from work and found that her living room and dining room furniture had been stolen, according to a Goldsboro police report.
Lisa Suggs of West Lockhaven Drive said a sectional sofa, a dining room table and four chairs, coffee and end tables, two paintings and television had been stolen. The furniture was valued at $2,129.
Mrs. Suggs said she started to call police but her husband stopped her, saying he knew where the property was and would take her to it. They found the property at a home in the 700 block of North Georgia Avenue. The resident let them have their property and was not charged.
But the husband, William Suggs, 31, was charged with felony second-degree burglary and felony larceny. He also was held on an outstanding arrest order. Suggs was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $25,600 secured bond.
Four injured
Four people were injured and damages were estimated at $11,500 Saturday night in two traffic collisions in Goldsboro, police reported.
*Three people were injured in a two-car collision at 9:42 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Road and Ervin Drive, police said. One driver, James Preston Morgan Jr., 40, of Force Road, and the other driver, Dana Marie Fiorentino, 17, of Perkins Mill Road, and her passenger, Christopher Ward, 17, of Green Drive, were treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital. Morgan was charged with an improper left turn and driving while his license was revoked. Damages were set at $7,000.
*A driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:23 p.m. Saturday on North Berkeley Boulevard near Royall Avenue, police said. Connie Wade Dail, 56, of Bartlett Road, Pikeville, was released after emergency-room treatment. The other driver, Jason Quinn Underwood, 16, of Old Grantham Road, was charged with improper equipment after he said his brakes failed. Damages were put at $4,500.
Investigations
Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*A brick was thrown through the front door at Wayne Pregnancy Care Center at 403 N. Herman St. on Sunday, police said. Three doors and three windows were damaged, the report said. Damages were estimated at $725. Nothing was reported stolen.
*Forty compact discs and $5 were stolen Sunday after a car door and the ignition switch were damaged in the 700 block of West Ash Street, police said. The owner and resident, Deonta James Allen, said the CDs were worth $400 and set damage at $650.
*A stereo system was stolen between Friday and Saturday after a car window was smashed in the 1200 block of West Grantham Street, police said. The owner, Lenette Young of Goldsboro, estimated the stereo's value at $100 and damage at $100.
Thefts
Wayne County sheriff's deputies are investigating these reports:
*The owner parked his Ford Escape on Saturday night at Southern Wayne Country Club and returned about four hours later to find it on blocks with the four 20-inch tires and chrome rims missing, sheriff's deputies said. Jason Glen Talton of Goldsboro said the stolen property was worth $2,800.
*A 27-inch television and a porcelain doll were stolen between Thursday and Friday after a door glass was smashed and padlocks cut at a home in the 1700 block of Old Grantham Road, deputies said. The property was valued at $250. Damage was set at $60 at the home, owned by Joseph Earl Kornegay of Warsaw.
