Man shot to death at Waffle House

A 33-year-old Goldsboro man was fatally shot Saturday, and Goldsboro police are looking for a suspect.
The victim was identified as Lashonnie Maurice Howell of 1902-B John Court.
Howell was shot several times at about 3:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Waffle House restaurant at 2000 Wayne Memorial Drive. He was taken by ambulance to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he later died from his wounds.
Police investigator Trey Ball said today that investigators were following up on information obtained from witnesses and calls. He said a suspect description had not been developed. The State Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the investigation.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Goldsboro-Wayne County Crime Stoppers at 735-2255. Callers may remain anonymous, and they may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000, if their information leads to an arrest.
Ball said he does not believe that Howell's death was related two other weekend shootings.
In one, Victor Devon Ingram, 35, was shot about 1 a.m. Saturday, police said. Ingram told investigators that he was shot at Seymour Drive and Rosewood Road but he was found bleeding after knocking on the door of an apartment in the 100 block of Courtyard Circle. He was listed in stable condition at Wayne MemorialHospital today.
In another incident, a woman and her son were sitting in her car at about 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Courtyard Circle when a man asked the son to get out and he refused, police said. The man then shot at the car, damaging a window. Marilyn Hamilton of LaGrange estimated damage to her car at $250.
