916th reservist competes for national award

A Goldsboro resident was selected to represent the Air Force Reserve Command for a national level award.

Capt. Robin Middleton, a health services administrator with the 916th Air Refueling Wing at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, was selected from more than 75 Air Force Reserve medical squadrons and flights for the Brig. Gen. Peter C. Bellisario Young Health Care Administrator of the Year Award.

Middleton was instrumental in helping the 916th Aerospace Medicine Flight achieve a successful rating on their recent Health Services Inspection.

She also created various trainings for the wing to include a mass casualty exercise and EMT refresher training.

She serves as the model for excellence, sacrifice, balance and sense of duty," said her commander, Col. Douglas K. Holmes.

Middleton will compete for the national award against members of the active duty from all major commands. The national award will presented ain Chicago on March 16.
