Local amateur radio operators meet every Saturday from 7-8:30 a.m. at Central Lunch on Center Street. The meetings are open to anyone interested in amateur radio, shortwave listening and radio electronics. Information: Dave Price, 221-9993.
WARSAW BIRTHDAY
The town of Warsaw will celebrate its 150th birthday with cake and punch at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Warsaw Town Hall.
VALENTINE FUNDRAISER
The youth of Belfast Pentecostal Holiness Church will deliver balloons and candy on Valentines Day. Orders may be placed by calling 734-4770 after 4 p.m.
UDC RESCHEDULED
The February meeting of the Thomas Ruffin Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy has been reschedule for Feb. 10. Carol Peele will be the speaker.
UNC-DUKE
The Wayne County Carolina Club will holding a viewing party for the UNC-Duke game at the Goldsboro Country Club on Wednesday, Feb. 9. Doors will open at 8 p.m. for the game, beginning at 9 p.m. Admission is free for club members and their guests, $5 for others.
