Flu-shot list

The Wayne County Health Department said today it will compile a waiting list for the flu shot.

Josa Raynor-Vaughn, communicable diseases program manager, said the first line of defense is to contact your doctor.

"We prefer they go to their physician first," she said. "If they don't have one, we'll put them on a list."

Ms. Vaughn said she did not know how many vaccines will be available, and there is no guarantee that everyone on the list will receive the shot.

She asked that requests be made at 731-1000 or 731-1271 between 1 and 4 p.m. weekdays.
