Toys galore were dropped off for the Empty Stocking Fund on Tuesday.
Employees of Chugach Development Corporation of Alaska, who are working at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, brought them.
They will be added to those purchased with your contributions and given to less-fortunate children at the annual ESF party next Saturday.
Last year the contractors were seeking a way to give something back to the community when they read about the Empty Stocking Fund. They pooled their money and went on a shopping spree for toys.
The venture was so much fun and brought them so much joy, they did it again this year.
There's still time, and a real need, for you to share in the joy of giving this Christmas season.
All of the money will be used for the children, and your gift will be acknowledged in the next edition of the newspaper.
Donations may be mailed to the News-Argus, P.O. Box 10629, Goldsboro, N.C., 27532; or brought to the office at 310 N. Berkeley Boulevard, on Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
