Christmas dance
The Starlight Dance Band will present its annual Christmas Dance Saturday from 7:30 until 10:30 p.m. at Herman Park Center.
The event is being sponsored by the Goldsboro Recreation and Parks Department. Cost is $5 at the door. Refreshments will be served. Information: 734-4511.
Santa Calling
Parents who would like for their children to receive a call from Santa need to register by Wednesday.
Santa Calling is a program presented by the Goldsboro Recreation and Parks Department. Santa will place calls Monday through Wednesday, Dec. 13 through 15, to children ages 3 through 8. For registration information: 739-7493.
WCC registration
Early registration for spring semester continuing education courses at Wayne Community College will be held through Friday.
Students can sign up and pay fees from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 7 p.m. through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Friday in the Continuing Education Office in Room 101 of the Dogwood Building.
Classes start as early as Jan. 3. Students may register at the first class but are encouraged to register early to guarantee a seat.
Wayne Community College offers more than 160 continuing education classes at a variety of times and places.
Even a student's den can be his classroom, with more than 300 courses offered on line. The next on-line classes will begin Jan. 19. Registration must be completed for those courses at least five days before the first class.
