Daedalians to visit base

The Air Combat Command Daedalians will visit Seymour Johnson Air Force Base on Thursday to evaluate the 4th Fighter Wing Logistics Readiness Squadron.

The squadron is in the running for best in the command, and the visit will decide if the squadron will secure the honor.

The Daedalians, which includes one colonel and three chief master sergeants, are visiting the top three finalists to evaluate attitude and professionalism, facility appearance and program effectiveness, among other things.

Maj. Scott Leforce, the squadron's operations officer, commanded the first ever Air Force-led joint task force convoy in Iraq. During his deployment, he led more than 300 convoys and was awarded a Bronze Star for his actions.
