The Wayne County Partnership for Children has received a $2,000 grant from Target stores to fund the Multicultural Arts for Tots program.
The program introduces art to preschool children. The program features artists and groups performing music, dance and other expressions for children and their families.
The partnership also hopes to encourage family involvement through the program, and it also allows child care providers to expand their curriculum.
"The Wayne County Partnership for Children is doing incredible things to help strengthen our communities," says Laysha Ward, vice president of community relations.
Parents of preschool children and child care providers in Wayne County are invited to the upcoming Multicultural Arts for Tots performances. The next scheduled event will be held on Monday, Dec. 20, at St. Mary's Catholic School. The Chinese Acrobats will perform at 9:30 a.m.
Pre-registration is required since attendance is limited to 350 people. Call the Wayne County Partnership for Children to register at 735-3371, extension 227.
