Investigations

Wayne County sheriff's deputies are investigating these reports:

*Emery Ray Auvil, 42, of the 2100 block of Indian Springs Road in Mount Olive, was accidentally shot on Friday near the right knee when his shotgun fell off his tractor and went off. It occurred at the Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery on Old Mount Olive Highway. He was taken to the emergency room at Wayne Memorial Hospital and has not been released, according to a hospital official.

*The right side fender of a vehicle was damaged Friday at the 1300 block of O'Berry Road in Mount Olive. The owner, Steven Robert Anttila, estimated the damage at $1,500.

*Boards, shingles, felt and roofing nails were reported stolen Friday from a construction site at Lot 24 and Lot 21 at Sunridge. The victim, Patelos Enterprise on South Berkeley Boulevard, estimated the property's value at $1,570.

*TVs, a stereo, camera, DVDs, Playstation games, a Playstation, DVD player, VCRs, video cameras, camera tripod, CD player, laptop computers, desktop computers, radio, TV/VCR combo, computer disks and mixed coins were reported stolen Friday from a residence at the 100 block of Red Oak Drive. The resident and owner, Terry Alan Davis, estimated the property's value at $10,855 and damage to the rear door and door frame at $350.

*Handguns and a revolver were reported stolen Friday from a residence in the 100 block of Tilghman Drive. The owner and resident, Mike Lee Brown, estimated the property's value at $2,850.

*Martha Lee Williams of the 100 block of Covey Drive in LaGrange was cut with a knife at her residence on Saturday. She was transported to the emergency room at Wayne Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.

*Guns, a gold chain, silver dollar and currency were reported stolen Friday from the 4600 block of U.S. 13. North. The owner and resident, Mark Floyd Hill, estimated the property's value at $1,330.

Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:

*A laptop computer, cordless phone and radios were reported stolen Friday from the Ramada at 808 W. Grantham St. Ramada estimated the property's value at $1,000.

*A 1999 Mazda 626, leather bag, currency, credit cards, driver's license and a military ID were reported stolen Friday from a residence at the 400 block of Murray Street. The vehicle owner and resident, Bradley Lamont Mustipher, estimated the property's value at $11,160.

*Jessie Lee Burns of the 300 block of Mulberry Street was hit in the head with a piece of wood at the 200 block of Kornegay Street by three men. She was taken to the emergency room at Wayne Memorial Hospital and was treated and released.

*A box of diamonds was reported stolen Friday from Alan Sutton Jewelry at 1803-C Wayne Memorial Drive. The value of the diamonds is unknown.

*A 1996 Dodge Intrepid was reported stolen Saturday from a parking area at 600 Newsome St. The victim, Vivian Green of the 600 block of Newsome Street, estimated the property's value at $4,000.

Traffic accidents

*A driver was injured and damages were estimated at $2,000 on Friday on North William Street. Ricardo Reyes Martinez of John Street was traveling north in a parking lot on 2204 N. William St. and pulled out of the lot at a fast speed and ran through the fence of 2308 N. William St., police said. It tore down a pole, and the vehicle drove over a bush, destroying it. Martinez was reportedly taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital by Wayne County EMS.

*A driver was injured and damages were estimated at $12,000 in a three-car crash on Friday on U.S. 70 toward West Grantham Street. A car driven by Domingo Miguel Felipe of Taco Drive in Seven Springs was traveling east on U.S. 70 when he lost control and crossed the median and the rear of the vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Robert Ray Medlin Jr., of U.S. 117 South Alternate in Dudley, the report said. The collision caused Medlin's vehicle to roll down an embankment. Debris from the collision struck a vehicle driven by Allan Lawrence Pratt of Nahunta Pines Drive in Pikeville. Felipe's vehicle struck the guardrail in the median. Felipe was charged with exceeding a safe speed. Medlin was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital by Wayne County EMS where he was treated and released.

*Damages were estimated at $5,000 in a two-car crash on Friday on Grantham Street toward U.S. 117. A vehicle driven by Mary Elizabeth Smith of Charlotte and a vehicle driven by Ronald Jay Faison of Wilson were both traveling east on Grantham Street. Faison's vehicle attempted to turn right when Smith's vehicle failed to reduce speed and struck Faison's vehicle from behind, the report said. Ms. Smith was charged with failure to reduce speed.

*One person was injured in a two-car crash on U.S. 70 toward Ash Street and damages were estimated at $4,000. A vehicle driven by Julia Murphy Jackson of Grant Drive and a vehicle driven by Jose Juarez Ponce of Hamlet Circle in Seven Springs were both traveling west on U.S. 70. Ms. Jackson's vehicle came up behind Ponce's vehicle and was unable to stop before the vehicles hit, the report said. Ms. Jackson was charged with failure to reduce speed. She was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital by Wayne County EMS and was treated and released.

Missing

*Christopher Michael Lysogorski, 13, of 110 Somerset Drive, was reported missing Saturday. He was described as 5-feet and a quarter inch tall, 95 pounds and having brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white tank top jersey, white T-shirt, a dark hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans, black socks and black tennis shoes. Anyone with information is asked to call the Wayne County Sheriff's Department at 731-1493.

*Two teen-age girls were reported missing Friday by relatives to Goldsboro police. They could be with each other, according to the reports:

Leandrea Maria Williams, 13, of 704 N. Virginia St., was described as black, 5-feet-7 and 140 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and light skin. She was last seen wearing a pink low-cut shirt, blue jeans, white shoes and a black coat.

Ryanne Renee Dunford, 13, of 405 A St., was described as 5-feet-2 and 135 pounds with brown hair, green eyes and light skin. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, khaki pants, black shoes, a white jacket and glasses.

Anyone with information on the location of either teen was asked to call police at 705-6572.
