MOUNT OLIVE -- Mount Olive College will host an "Estate Planning Program" at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, in Rodgers Chapel.
The event is free, and the public is invited.
This seminar will direct alumni and anyone who is interested in planning an estate for their lifetime benefit, their family, and their favorite charities.
The program will address issues such as who is entitled to the property of a person without a will, who will raise minor children if the last surviving parent dies, what is a trust, and how can a person prepare for the possibility of future incompetence.
The speakers for the event will be Jeff Daughtry and alumni who have accounting experience. Daughtry is the assistant director of Planned Giving at Mount Olive College. Planned Giving is a program of estate planning that includes bequests and life income investments.
