The Harley Owners of Goldsboro (HOG) and United Way of Wayne County have teamed up for the 7th annual HOG Toy Run. It will be held Nov. 6, beginning in Smithfield and ending in Goldsboro.
Motorcyclists who want to participate should take a toy and assemble at 11 a.m. at Shelton's Harley-Davidson at Carolina Premium Outlets in Smithfield. The route will take riders on 70 east to George Street to the traffic circle at Center Street to Herman Street. Riders will continue to Corporate Drive and then to Shelton's Harley-Davidson of Goldsboro.
More than 500 motorcyclists participate in the yearly event. Everyone who donates a toy will receive a barbecue lunch.
United Way will distribute the toys to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wayne County, Boy Scouts Tuscarora Council and Girls Scouts Coast of Carolina Council.
Security-Atlas will provide a truck to collect the toys.
