Library essay winner announced

Last month the Wayne County Public Library hosted an essay contest in honor of National Library Card Sign-Up month. Participants in the contest had to tell "Why My Library Card is the Smartest Card Ever!" Among the over 100 essays received, the top selections for each division were:
Elementary School Grand Prize Winner: Samantha Grzybek, Spring Creek Elementary School.
Runners up: Hannah Lee, Lee Christian Academy and Ellen Margaret Arnette, Rosewood Elementary School.
Middle School Grand Prize Winner: Katie Knotts, Norwayne Middle School.
Runners up: Kirsten Walters, D.O.V.E., Academy and Tamara Day, Norwayne Middle School.
High School Grand Prize Winner: Donyetta McCalop, Southern Wayne High School.
The Wayne County Public Library would like to thank all who participated in the contest, and all of its contributors, including the Kiwanis Club of Goldsboro, Grounds for Expression, Family Fun Center, Sounds and Pizza Hut.
