WCC Honor Society inducts students

Forty-four students joined Wayne Community College's honor society in its fall induction ceremony. The students accepted the invitation to join the Upsilon Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges.

Members represent the top 10 percent of students enrolled in two-year schools. To be invited into the society, students must show academic achievement with a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average and completed a minimum of 16 hours of course work leading to an associate degree.

The inductees are listed below.

Goldsboro: Richard Alan Barter Jr., Melissa Sue Blackburn, Debra Jean Curl, Jenna Christine Fail, Shakia Adriel Gainer, Megan Nichole Ginn, Michael David Goudy, Wendy Lynette Johnson, Dora Knight, Anna Renee Niemeyer, Tasha B. Pallamollo, John Taylor Penner, Michelle Renee Rupp, Kimberly Hope Smith, Ashley Anne Stafford, Vanja Kristin Sutter, Emilia Tabokoh Tabe, Ashley Nicole Turnage, Kimberly Anne Whitworth, Michael Paul Wiggins, Brian Allen Wolford, Jocelyn Michelle Woodard, Hon Fai Yeung, and Po Ying Yeung.

Dudley: Tessa Raye Brannon, Jorge Jesus Gracia, Shannon Lee Lynch, Joan Marie Silva-Nunez, Jacqueline Diana Thigpen, and Patsy Diane Wellington.

Mount Olive: Geraldine Hensley Garner, Mary Loftin, and Mary Louise Wiggins.

Pikeville: Christina Marie Hammond, Jennifer Pate Lane, and Gail Singleton Luckett.

LaGrange: Linda Thomas Jones, Christopher Evan Morris, and Michael Paul Ocker.
