Drive-by shooting
Three people in a car were wounded before dawn Sunday in a drive-by shooting in the 1600 block of East Ash Street, according to a Goldsboro police report.
Kentrell Detron Vaughn, 22, of Gray Street, Larry Bell Jr., 19, of Tommy's Road and Crystal Gail Crawford, 21, of South Taylor Street were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital. They were released after emergency-room treatment, a spokeswoman said. A fourth person in the car was not injured, officials said.
The suspects fired from a westbound auto. They were not described in the report.
Clerk robbed
A clerk at a convenience store was robbed Sunday night of $25 by an armed man, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office report.
The clerk told deputies that a black man entered Genoa Mart at 659 Genoa Road, displayed a handgun, demanded money, grabbed it from the register and fled south.
The robber was described as 5-feet-8 and 135 pounds. He wore a hooded jacket, a black shirt and black pants.
Store break-in
A thief had to break a door glass Saturday to flee from W.P. Rose Supply Co. at 501 Patetown Road, once he heard the burglar alarm sound, a Goldsboro police report said.
The thief had entered through an opening in a wall and stole a hammer drill, valued at $280. Damage was set at $700 to the door.
Police are investigating these reports:
*A slide projector, a video cassette recorder, eight saw horses and a tape recorder were stolen after a lock was cut at a rental storage unit at 416 E. New Hope Road. One renter, Kimberly Scott of LaGrange, said the saw horses were worth $64. The other renter, Helen C. Parks of Snow Hill, put a $250 value on the other property.
*A DVD player and a cordless phone were stolen after a door was pried open at a home in the 1100 block of Evans Street. The resident, Darryl Jay Evans, put an $80 value on the property.
Four hurt in wrecks
Four people were injured and damages were estimated at $43,500 in eight recent traffic collisions in Wayne County, officers reported.
*A motorcyclist was ejected from his bike and injured at 6:28 p.m. Sunday on North Berkeley Boulevard near Langston Drive, Goldsboro police said. James Garrett Barnes, 23, of Emmaus Church Road, Dudley, was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital, a spokeswoman said. He also was charged with reckless driving. Damage was put at $1,000 to the bike.
*A driver from Goldsboro was injured at 12:22 a.m. Sunday at North George and West Grantham streets, police said. Eyad Khalid Zeidan, 19, of Christian Drive was released after emergency-room treatment. George Marion Daniels, 46, of A Street was charged with a safe-movement violation, driving while impaired and an expired inspection. He refused a breath-analysis test, the report said. His bond was set at $1,000. Damages were put at $4,500.
*Damages were estimated at $7,000 at 9:55 a.m. Sunday at South Slocumb and Newcome streets, police said. Roderick M. Davis Jr., 21, of Banks Avenue was charged with a yield violation at a stop sign. The other driver was Henry Lee Reid, 49, of South Slocumb Street.
*A passenger was injured and damages were estimated at $4,000 at 12:50 p.m. Saturday on North Spence Avenue near Cashwell Drive, police said. Jessica Carr, 17, of Stanley Chapel Church Road, Dudley, was released after emergency-room treatment. Her driver, Nathaniel R. Truzy Jr., 22, of Stanley Chapel Church Road, was charged with exceeding a safe speed after his car collided with a car driven by Nathan Ira Turner, 57, of U.S. 117-N.C. 50, Warsaw.
*Damages were estimated at $6,000 at 4:15 p.m. Saturday at East Ash Street and North Audubon Avenue, police said. One driver making a left turn, Ashley Kay Fundahn, 21, of Peachtree Street, was charged with a yield violation. The oncoming, westbound driver was listed as David Greg Whitfield, 34, of East Ash Street.
*A pickup was demolished and the driver was charged with driving while impaired after a wreck at 3 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 70 East near Country View Drive, police said. Raul Romero Madrigal Jr., 19, of Sandy Side Mobile Home Park, Seven Springs, was not injured. He registered .13 percent blood-alcohol content, the report said. His bond was set at $500. The truck was valued at $9,000.
*A bicyclist crossing N.C. 111 near Dollard Town Road was struck by a car at 7:48 p.m. Tuesday and injured, the Highway Patrol said. Shannon Anthony Fogle, 24, of Dollard Town Road, was released after emergency-room treatment. The driver of the car, Debra B. Russell, 38, of Sheridan Forest Road, was not charged.
*Damages were estimated at $10,000 at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Pikeville-Princeton and Hinnant roads, the Highway Patrol said. Tara Nicole Shipman, 22, of Grand Street, Pikeville, was charged with a stop-sign violation. Her car collided with a car driven by William Murphy Vaughn III, 24, of Woodside Circle, the report said.
Thefts
A thief may have driven a vehicle through a fence in order to break into a home in the 200 block of Marlette Drive, a Wayne County Sheriff's Office report said.
Jewelry, a .45 caliber handgun and $1,855 worth of entertainment equipment were stolen. The resident, Benjamin Allen Helmick, said the jewelry was worth $1,200 and the handgun was worth $150. The entertainment equipment included two televisions, a DVD player, video-game equipment and 50 DVD movies. Damage was set at $200.
Sheriff's deputies also are investigating these reports:
*Five handguns, binoculars, a bicycle, and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 100 block of Braswell Road. The resident, Stuart Alan Weeks, estimated the value of the stolen property -- including four .22 caliber pistols and a .38 caliber revolver -- at $4,950. The thief had broken a window to get inside.
*A compact disc player, a cordless drill and two weed trimmers were stolen after a door was damaged at a home in the 200 block of Rollingwood Drive. The resident, Anthony Herbin, estimated the stolen property's value at $325.
*About $2,000 worth of clothing, a microwave oven, a stereo, a phone and a clock were stolen from a home in the 1300 block of Old Grantham Road. The resident, Robbie C. Gregory, put a $325 value on the other stolen property.
*An air compressor was stolen Saturday from the 200 block of Charlie Braswell Road. The resident, James C. Sellers, said it was worth $1,000.

Statutory rape
A 46-year-old man was arrested Sunday by Wayne County sheriff's officers and charged with felony statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl in New Hope Trailer Park.
Anthony Robert Brewington of Thoroughfare Road was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 secured bond. Detective Sgt. Carl Lancaster investigated the case and was assisted by Detective Sgt. Tammy Odom, Detective Robert Chunn and B-shift deputies.
Drug charges
Six people have been arrested by Wayne County authorities and charged with felony drug offenses.
*Craig Brandon Hall, 34, of Everittsville Road, Dudley, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine in a jail. He also was charged with assault on a female. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 secured bond.
*Alexander Ray Garner, 20, of Camp Jubilee Road, Seven Springs, was charged with possess of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was jailed in lieu of a $3,000 secured bond.
*Jamarius Ramone Artis, 19, of Beal Street was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana. He was jailed in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond.
*Corey Smith, 23, of Courtyard Circle was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and misdemeanor larceny. His secured bond was set at $3,000.
*Tremayne Navaris Carmichael, 19, of East Maple Street was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and second-degree trespass. He was jailed in lieu of a $3,000 secured bond.
*Robert Byron Bristol, 24, of MacKenzie Drive, Princeton, was charged with possession of cocaine. His secured bond was set at $1,500.
Missing
A 15-year-old boy has been reported missing by relatives to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Akeem Dominique Edwards of 304 Carla Ann Drive, Pikeville, was described as black, 5-feet-6 and 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
He was seen last on Saturday. No clothing description was available. Anyone with information on his location was asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 731-1481.
