Investigations
Wayne County law-enforcement officers are investigating these reports:
*A 1986 Chevy Cavalier was reported stolen Tuesday from the corner of the Handy Mart on Mitchell Road. The driver, Bienvenido Ramon Lavergne of the 100 block of East John Street, Mount Olive, estimated the property's value at $1,500.
*$1,000 in damage to two State Employee Credit Union teller machines was reported Friday. One machine is at the 2200 bock of U.S. 117 S. in Goldsboro and the other is at 111 and Hwy. 55. The Credit Union is at the 1800 block of North Berkeley Boulevard.
*Damages were reported Saturday to a mobile home door, lamp and end tables after someone broke into a mobile home at the 200 block of Mobile Circle, Dudley. The resident, Jeannie Marie Johnston, estimated the damages at $300.
Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*A DVD/VCR player, jewelry and telephones were reported stolen Friday after the back door window was broken at a residence at the 1100 block of Evans Street. The owner, Niyoka S. Waters, estimated the property's value at $399.
*A 1997 Chevy Cavalier was reported taken without permission from a residence at the 900 block of Prince Avenue. The owner is Teresa Ann Green.
*A 2004 Buick Century was reported stolen Friday from the 200 block of N. Kornegay Street. The victim, Johnnie West of the 200 block of Hazelwood Drive, Dudley, estimated the property's value at $16,000.
*Damages were reported Friday to a 1992 Lincoln Towncar parked in the PVA of Herman Park. The owner, Walter Harold Kennon of the 400 block of East Second Street in Princeton, estimated the damages at $1,150.
*TVs and computers were reported stolen Saturday from the 300 block of South William Street. The owner and resident, Latoya A. Sasser, estimated the property's value at $3,627.74.
Shooting call
The Goldsboro Police Department, Fire Department and Wayne County EMS responded to a call early Saturday morning about a shooting on Courtyard Circle in Goldsboro. Calvin Harvey, the shift's adviser with the Wayne County Office of Emergency Services, said they could not find a victim at the location when they responded and they all cleared.
