Programs at the Cliffs

The Cliffs of the Neuse State Park will present two programs this weekend.

At 2 p.m. on Saturday, a park ranger will give a presentation about necklaces some animals have to wear. People will learn how to prevent animals from having to wear these necklaces and will make necklaces they can take home.

On Sunday at 2 p.m., a ranger will lead a hike and teach about identifying characteristics of about 20 different species of trees that grow at the Cliffs and in the Goldsboro area. Participants should meet at the museum and may want to bring insect repellent and water. Wear good walking shoes.

For more information or to register, call 778-6234 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
