Village in magazine

Waynesborough Historical Village in Goldsboro is featured in the July edition of Southern Living magazine.

The one-page article has several pictures and information about the village, which is at 801 U.S. 117 S. Bypass. The pictures show volunteers dressed up in authentic 1800s clothing and walking toward the Bethany Friends Meeting House. This house is one of 13 buildings that were moved to the village from around the area over the past several years.

The article quotes several members of the Old Waynesborough Commission, which runs the village, including Gene Bennett, vice president of operations and buildings, and Colleen Baker, secretary.
