Statutory rape
Jasper James Jackson, 27, streets of Goldsboro, was arrested by Goldsboro police and charged with one count of statutory rape. He was arrested after an investigation into a complaint filed May 30. Jackson was placed in Wayne County Jail under $50,000 secure bond.
Weapons fired
Goldsboro police received several complaints of shots fired into dwellings Friday night.
*Denise James of Astor Court told police two shots were fired through an upstairs window of her home around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
*At about 6:40 p.m., a black male was seen in a yard on Astor Court by resident Madedrik Sanders. Sanders said the unknown male fired a gun at him several times and then shot into the residence, which was occupied at the time. Damage was reported to a window, walls, a glass table, and curtains at the home.
*Anthony Holloway, Wil-mington Avenue, told police a gun was fired into his residence around 9 p.m. Friday night, causing $200 worth of damage to a wall.
Shooting charge
Nicholas McNair, South Herman Street, was arrested by Goldsboro police investigators Friday and charged with firing into an occupied dwelling. He allegedly shot into a residence on the 300 block of South Herman Street. He was held in Wayne County Jail under $75,000 secured bond.
Investigations
Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating these reports:
*A 2001 Nissan Altima worth $10,000 was reportedly taken from a residence on Rhonda Drive. Robert Goodson told police he suspected a former roommate.
*On Perkins Road, Louise Blackman reported a truck and equipment belonging to Yardmaster Lawn and Landscape Company were taken from her backyard.
*Thirty sheets of plywood were reportedly taken from a job site on Jordon Elizabeth Court sometime overnight Friday, according to a complaint filed by Willis James of Dudley.
Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*Amanda Smith of SunCom on Berkeley Boulevard reported the theft of eight cell phones from a display case in the business sometime between May 26 and June 18. The items were valued at $1,961.
*Antoinette Saul of Courtyard Circle reported the theft of several items from her home during a time she was incarcerated. She said she returned home and found a door and window damaged and an estimated $1,060 worth of DVDs and jewelry were gone.
