WARSAW -- Mayor Elmer Schorzman is planning to announce his retirement at tonight's meeting of the Warsaw town commissioners.
The town board appointed Schorzman in 2000 to replace John Powell. The next year he won election to the seat.
Schorzman brought the town through a governmental transition. Under his guidance, the town hired Frankie Maness as town administrator.
In the summer of 2002, Maness became the town manager and the board adopted a council-manager form of government.
