A 31-year-old man was fatally shot before dawn today, and Goldsboro police are searching for a man who is charged with killing him.
The victim, Jonathan Deon Yarborough of Beal Street in Goldsboro, was gunned down at about 1:30 a.m. outside of a home at 511 Denmark St.
Police have charged the resident of the home, Marcus Dominique Moore, 24, with an open count of murder.
Police investigators said the shooting followed an argument between the men.

An unidentified person then called 911 to report hearing shots fired. Christopher Crawford, the first officer to arrive, found Yarborough's body in the yard on the north side of the small green house. Crawford called for assistance. Investigator Mike Moore, Identifications Officer Linda M. Keesler and special agents from the State Bureau of Investigations responded. Others also have joined the investigation.
At mid-morning police still had the death scene cordoned off with yellow evidence tape. Several officers were stationed at the home to keep onlookers away.
