Both drivers charged
Two drivers and a passenger under age 5 were treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital after a collision Friday morning at the intersection of Mulberry and Lionel Streets.
Michael Angelo Shaw of Airport Road said he stopped at the stop sign and saw the oncoming Nissan. But he said he thought he could pull through. They collided.
Connie Devaughn Oliver of Kelliwood Drive said she did not see him until they were about to collide. Her car also knocked down a stop sign owned by the city of Goldsboro. Damage was $100.
Goldsboro police charged Ms. Oliver with driving with an expired registration and failure to secure a child, her passenger, Jacoby Devaughn Oliver.
Police charged Shaw with driving while license revoked and failure to see before starting. He was also charged with failure to appear in court on an Oct. 7 charge and placed under $500 bond.
Shaw's 1992 Ford sustained $2,900 damage. Ms. Oliver's 1995 Nissan sustained $8,000 damage.
Crimes
The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating the following crimes:
*Jacqueline Coley Barnes, 41, of Daisy Street told the Goldsboro police her spouse was already married at the time of their marriage. She said Friday she separated from her husband when she found out about the bigamy.
*Someone threw a large brick through a window to the food storage room at House of Fordham at 112 N. William St. about the time a witness was driving up in a car. The person ran away. No entry was made to the building.
*Someone broke into Paula Arlette Leftwrich's 1991 Grand Am while it was parked at Wal-Mart, 1002 N. Spence Ave., and took a five-shot revolver valued at $350. Ms. Leftwrich, who lives at Weaver Place, said she noticed the firearm missing when she went to leave. They got in by some unknown means. She said the car was locked, but police found no sign of forced entry.
*Someone did $2,000 worth of damage by unknown means to a Ford Taurus owned by
the U.S. Department of Agriculture while it was parked at a government building, 208 Malloy St. Damage was done to back door on the driver's side.
*Someone pried open the rear window to the home of Janie Lee Ingram on Dupont Circle and took seven Play-
station games and a cellular telephone, all valued at $165.
*Someone pried open the front door to Stephanie Brewington's house on South Alabama Avenue and took a cellular telephone, a Play-
station game and CDs, all valued at $85.
