The Arts Council of Wayne County will sponsor "Tips, Tricks and Techniques," a two-day drawing workshop for adults, on Wednesday and Thursday, March 17 and 18, at the Arts Council of Wayne County.
The sessions are being taught by Jill Eberle, an adjunct professor at East Carolina University.
Ms. Eberle has taught drawing and figure drawing at ECU for the past four years. Her paintings have been exhibited regionally and at several universities across the country.
Prior to pursuing painting, she was a scenic artist at New York and regional theaters.
She has a bachelor of fine arts degree in theatrical design from Ithaca College and a master of fine arts degree in painting from ECU.
Ms. Eberle says that her March workshop in Wayne County will teach understandable techniques to help people create better drawings from observation.
"The class will focus on still life drawing, but the methods used are equally applicable to figures and landscapes," she says. "This workshop is appropriate for rank beginners as well as those with intermediate skills looking to strengthen their work."
The workshop registration fee is $40. A supply list will be provided.
People can register or get additional information by calling the Arts Council at 736-3300.
