Three injured in county collisions

Three people were injured and damages were estimated at $35,000 in five recent traffic collisions in Wayne County, officers reported.

*Damages were estimated at $5,500 in a two-vehicle collision at 5:15 p.m. Monday at North William and Greenleaf streets, Goldsboro police said. No charges were filed; both drivers said they had the green light. The motorists were identified as Sabrina Genise Boney, 16, of Mary Lane and Jeffrey Tyrone Rudolph, 33, of Cream Ridge Lane, Pikeville.

*A car landed on top of a minivan after a wreck at 3:30 p.m. Friday on N.C. 111 near Park Road, the Highway Patrol said. One driver, Lai Kuen Yip Mo, 40, of Scott Street, was charged with improper passing. The vehicles, valued at $13,500, were demolished. Troopers said Ms. Mo was passing a car, driven south by Misty Dawn Feeney, 22, of Casey Avenue, Seven Springs, then met an oncoming vehicle and tried to get back in line and her minivan collided with Ms. Feeney's car. Both vehicles ran off the right side, and Ms. Feeney's car overturned and stopped atop the minivan, the report said. Ms. Feeney was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital.

*A driver was injured and a car and a pickup truck were demolished in a crash at 6:40 p.m. Sunday at Perkins Road and April Lane, the Highway Patrol said. Corey Lee Montgomery, 34, of Cambria Lane was released after emergency-room treatment. The other driver, Michael Timothy Bowen, 19, of Autumn Winds Drive, was charged with a stop-sign violation. The vehicles were valued at $7,500.

*A man was injured at 11:10 p.m. Thursday when his moped ran off Stevens Mill Road and struck a mail box, the Highway Patrol said. Carl Wayne Hare, 39, of Stevens Mill Road was listed today in stable condition in intensive care at Wayne Memorial Hospital, a spokeswoman said. No charges were filed. Damage was set at $500 to the moped.

*A sport utility vehicle was demolished in a vehicle wreck at 2:06 p.m. Jan. 12 on Ditchbank Road near Dollard Town Road, the Highway Patrol said. The driver, Dianne Underwood, 56, of Clay Road, was charged with exceeding a safe speed after the SUV she was driving ran off the right side in a curve, came back off the left side and struck a mail box, then came back on the road and overturned. The SUV was valued at $8,000.

Man robbed

A Goldsboro man was robbed Monday night of about $50 by three men in the 1700 block of North George Street, a Goldsboro police report said.

John Adams, 23, told police that he had gone to the apartment to get his paycheck and he was met by three other employees who said he owed them money. Adams said that when he left the apartment, two men punched him, and the three took the money and refused to return it, police said. Adams declined treatment for an eye injury, police said.

Copper pipe stolen

When a new family moved into a rental home in the 1500 block of Mimosa Street, they discovered the copper pipe was missing from under the home, a Goldsboro police report said.

The homeowner, Frank Tillman of Goldsboro, said the pipe, valued at $4,500, was stolen between Dec. 19 and Monday while the house was vacant.

Break-ins

Wayne County sheriff's deputies are investigating these reports:

*A double-door refrigerator, a dishwasher, a self-cleaning range and a microwave oven were stolen between Jan. 10 and today from a home in the 100 block of Daffodil Lane. The property at the Belinda Gail Bell home was valued at $2,860.

*A blower, two weed trimmers and a push lawn mower were stolen between Saturday and Monday after locks were cut on a utility trailer in the 100 block of North Church Street in Eureka. The owner and resident, Alton Dale Head, estimated the value of the stolen property at $2,150 and damage at $25.

*About 100 compact discs and a case were stolen between Saturday and Monday from an unlocked car in the 100 block of Oak Knoll Drive. The resident and owner, Dawn Carr, put a $1,525 value on the property.

Drug charge

A Goldsboro man was arrested Monday night by Goldsboro police and charged with a felony drug offense at Olivia Lane and South Audubon Avenue.

Shawn Maurice Holmes, 18, of South Audubon Avenue was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver 28.4 grams of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of a concealed firearm. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond.

Missing

A 36-year-old Goldsboro woman was reported missing Monday to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Mary Angela McLaurin of 129 Mooring Lane was described as white, 5-feet-3 and 145 pounds with straight blond hair and blue eyes.

She was seen last at 3 p.m. Jan 5 and may be in a burgundy four-door Toyota Camry in South Carolina. Anyone with information on her location was asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 731-1481.
