Clinton: FBI investigation still leaves us troubled by candidate's actions

Tuesday was a big day for Hillary Clinton.

The former secretary of state appeared on the campaign trail for the first time with President Obama and learned that the FBI investigation into her use of classified emails did not produce any charges.

Republicans, of course, immediately jumped on the latter and were critical of the agency's handling of the probe, many saying the FBI was prejudiced in its findings. Her presumed opponent in the presidential race, Donald Trump, was especially critical. Trump noted the FBI's statement that although Clinton's email use did not rise to the level of criminal offense, it did indicate carelessness on her part. Someone who is that careless has no business being in the White House, he said.

He is right. We are troubled by Clinton's recklessness in the handling of classified material. It is not the stuff that good presidents are made of.
