Trump vs. Sanders? Could there be a debate in the offing?

Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are toying with the idea of debating each other ahead of the California primary.

The chance of the unlikely debate came up Wednesday, with both the Republican billionaire and the Democratic senator from Vermont saying they would welcome a chance to square off in a mano a mano contest.

Trump has pretty much locked up the Republican nomination. Sanders is trying to earn as many delegates as possible before the Democratic convention, but he still trails front-runner Hillary Clinton.

Trump said on a late-night TV show that he has enjoyed watching the Sanders and Clinton debates, which have grown increasingly heated.

For his part, Sanders tweeted that he would look forward to a chance to go head to head with Trump.

The chances of such a show aren't good, but it sure would be fun to watch the conservative and the liberal argue their points in front of a national audience.
