Vote: Yes, it matters if you cast your vote in today's municipal primary

The old saying goes, "If you don't vote, then don't complain."

And that is particularly appropriate today in the municipal primary vote taking place in the city of Goldsboro.

There are two important races to be decided -- the District 4 Goldsboro City Council race and the mayor's race.

Both contests today are just to narrow down the field -- but don't think that means that your favorite candidate (or the one who should be a candidate) will earn a spot on the ballot.

You are the only one who can help make that happen.

If you are reading this, there is very likely still time to get out and to cast your ballot. The process is simple and important. All you have to do is show up.

Voting is more than just a right. It is a responsibility. And it is an important one today.
