Infrastructure: Keeping focused on transportation key to future

There is a lot of good news coming to Wayne County this year -- and several key projects have already been unveiled.

But as progress continues, there is one area that must remain uppermost in leaders' minds as they move forward.

Transportation.

It is critical that city and county leaders work together to create not only the economic development plans that are necessary, but that they make sure the infrastructure is there to support them.

And that requires keeping Wayne County front and center in the mix for highway dollars and continuing to evaluate the transportation infrastructure around the area and spending money where it is needed.

It is the best way to keep the county on a path to a bright and prosperous future.
