The results: Dancers, donors made classroom gifts possible

It is always nice to see that your effort has done some good.

And that is exactly how those who contributed to the 2013 Dancing Stars of Wayne County and other Wayne Education Network fundraisers should feel.

From dancers to donors, their contributions made it possible to expand the horizons of more than a few Wayne County children.

It is not just about the money -- although, let's be honest, that is in short supply.

It is about a community showing that it is committed to providing educational opportunities above and beyond the normal school offerings -- and putting their money where their mouths are.

And at the same time, those same people have invested in their community's future.
