Not a solution: Apology is nice, but proposal likely not real solution

There are plenty of questions still unanswered about the failed kickoff of Obamacare -- specifically who knew what when.

But those can be left for another time.

President Barack Obama has apologized for not being up to speed on the potential concerns with the rollout of the Affordable Care Act and for misleading people about their ability to keep their health plans.

Now, after hundreds of thousands of people have seen their insurance canceled, he has offered an alternative -- a reprieve for a year for those who have lost coverage.

Don't be fooled. It is no solution.

Keeping the plan for a year only postpones the inevitable -- the companies are not going to be able to come up with cost-effective ways to resurrect programs they spent more than a year scrapping.

And then we will be faced with the same dilemma again.

Truth is, it is time to rethink the whole business and to really evaluate this legislation, and perhaps dump the whole thing and starting over.

And maybe this time, the Congress will read it before they vote on it.
