Hagan watch: Funny how she's in the news as election worry looms

Told you so.

Interesting how after months of silence and dewy-eyed support for the president's health care initiative -- even after her constituents expressed their vehement feelings against it -- Sen. Kay Hagan is now leading a charge to investigate how it came about.

Well, not exactly leading.

Mrs. Hagan is one of many Democrats who see the writing on the wall for the 2014 election because of the problems with Obamacare.

And now, they are outraged -- even demanding answers about the vendor hired to create the health care initiative's website.

It is, of course, a little too late and not at all sincere -- otherwise it would have been brought up when the $600 million was being spent in the first place.

But since Mrs. Hagan is in an investigating mood, perhaps she could come up with some answers on the Benghazi incident that left Americans dead and questions in abundance.

After all, the American people deserve answers there, too.

The politics in Washington often makes real people WANT to watch the Kardashians and to pretend Congress does not exist.

This is just one more example of show ponies trotting around trying to distract the voters from what is really the case -- that they supported a misconceived and mishandled policy because their boss told them to.

We just have to make sure we don't get fooled again.
