Millard-Kennedy
Mary Abigail Millard and Steven Gabriel Kennedy exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 4, 2017 at 5 p.m. at The Barn at Mike’s Farm, with Daniel Haskett officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Carl Michael and Connie Davis Millard of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Carl Millard Jr. and Amelia Millard of Goldsboro and Mattie Davis and the late Robert Davis of Goldsboro.
She graduated from Faith Christian Academy in 2010 and Campbell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications in 2014.
She is employed as a fifth-grade teacher at Wayne Preparatory Academy.
The groom is the son of Jimmy Steven Kennedy and Tammy Killette Kennedy of Dudley and the grandson of Rayford and Rachel Kennedy of Warsaw and the late Frank and Shirley Killette of Warsaw.
He graduated from Faith Christian Academy in 2010, and received his EMT certification from Wayne Community College in 2016.
He is employed at North State Medical Transport in Raleigh.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a cap sleeve lace ballgown designed by Oleg Cassini embellished with beading and lace appliques and a chapel train with tulle and champagne lining.Her single-tiered fingertip veil featured lace embroidery.
Katie Jensen served as matron of honor, while Lauren Conyers was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Stevee Martin, Miranda Dotson and Jillian Sanders.
Isaiah Kennedy served as best man.
Groomsmen were Chad Wise, Nick Gurley, Sascha Mosshammer and Josh Lynch.
Angel Kennedy was a junior bridesmaid.
Quinn Kornegay, Fallyn Carroll and Annabelle Holland were flower girls.
Nicholas Kennedy was ringbearer.
Lisa Millard directed the wedding.
Presiding at the register was Lacey Kornegay.
Lily Davis distributed programs.
Nathan Jensen was guitarist/vocalist.
The parents of the bride hosted a reception at Mike’s Farm immediately following the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Goldsboro, N.C.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at Mike’s Farm in Beulaville.
Events held before the wedding included a honeymoon packing shower hosted by Dianne Everett Aug. 27, 2017; a wedding shower at Village Steakhouse given by the Millard family Oct. 7, 2017; a bachelorette party hosted by Lauren Conyers Oct. 14, 2017; a wedding shower at the Rose home hosted by the aunt of the bride, Donna Rose, Oct. 15, 2017; and a pack-the-pantry wedding shower at The Depot in Mount Olive given by the Kennedy family Oct. 21, 2017.
