Katherine Eleanor Millard and Nathan Charles Jensen of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 22, 2017, at 4:30 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church, with pastor Jonathan Smith officiating. Pastor David Jackson led a salt covenant ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of C. Michael and Connie Davis Millard of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Carl and Amelia Millard of Goldsboro and Mattie Davis and the late Robert Davis of Goldsboro.

She graduated from Faith Christian Academy in 2008 and from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education in 2012.

She is employed as a fourth-grade teacher at Wayne Christian School.

The groom is the son of Christopher and Deborah Jensen of Meridian, Idaho, and the grandson of Doug and Lucy Jensen of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Walter White of Salt Lake City, Utah, and the late Glenith White of Meridian.

He graduated from Basic Christian Academy in 2013 and Wayne Community College in 2015 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in automotive sevice technology.

He is employed as a service technician at Sale Ford.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an A-line-style gown featuring an off-the-shoulder bodice with delicate beaded lace appliqués three-quarter-inch sleeves.

The single-tiered cathedral veil featured thick lace embroidery.

Ginger Winders, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor, while Abby Millard, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Karie Barnett and Jillian Sanders.

Bradley Ericson served as best man.

Groomsmen were Keith Barnes, Benjamin Dowden and Gabriel Kennedy.

Lily Davis, cousin of the bride, and Annalise Fitzmoris and Olivia Sutton, former students of the bride, were junior bridesmaids.

Gracie Galloway and Kennedy Tyndall were flower girls.

Luke Winders was ringbearer.

Rhonda Stark directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Susan Barnes.

Jalyn Baysden, Kate Hansen and Olivia Kearney distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Machelle Kingsley, pianist, and Cheryl Hinnant, violinist. Vocalists were Machelle Kingsley and Curtis Piner.

The bride’s parents hosted a reception in Freedom Baptist Church’s fellowship hall immediately following the ceremony.

After the honeymoon, the couple resides in Pikeville, N.C.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Freedom Baptist Church fellowship hall.

Events held before the wedding included a shower Feb. 13 at Wayne Christian School given by the bride’s co-workers; a shower March 17 at Wayne Christian School given by students of the bride; a shower March 18 at McCall’s given by the Millard family; a shower March 19 at Freedom Baptist Church hosted by Theresa Walker and Louise Lane; a bridal brunch April 1 at Saulston United Methodist Church hosted by Christine Fitzmoris, Ginger Winders, Jennifer Sutton, Tracey Baysden, Denise Kearney and Lori Wells; a family shower April 16 at the Rose home hosted by the aunt of the bride, Donna Rose; and a bachelorette party April 20 at Frog Hollow hosted by Abby Millard.
